And what pukey weather we’re having today. I’m not sure how it is where you are, but in my neck of the woods the sky just opened up and dropped tons of little ice balls. Hello winter.
I tried a new recipe this morning for a black and white banana cake. It’s made in a loaf pan and is a marble of a fresh banana and bittersweet chocolate batters. It smelled fantastic. So much so, in fact, that I had to make myself some banana walnut pancakes for breakfast in order to not dig into the loaf which is earmarked for my Gram’s later today. And then because I was having pancakes, I had to make myself some breakfast sausages. And then, just because we had it fresh, I had a coffee laced with nog. It was the best breakfast that I’ve had in a long time, and it was so rich that I couldn’t eat more than one pancake (so the other is in the refer for a snack or another day’s breakfast).
